It made no demands on me
Annette O’Toole is always a pleasure to watch, even if her character is boring. This is an actress who never gets the credit she deserves. The men are handsome in a way that isn’t threatening. The heroine is beautiful and smart, but not too beautiful, nor too smart.
It’s like a Harlequin romance made for TV
Two things bother me: It’s not Humboldt County. The Tri-Century Alps, maybe, or somewhere in the Sierras. Humboldt rarely snows and there are no snow-capped mountains. Humboldt, especially the container-growing areas, is cool, foggy, and green.
