Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who hold mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, build housing for workers (a human camp), oversee the installation of mining equipment, and the actual drilling of the well, especially in remote locations.

They are also part repairman, part problem solver, and part helper. I have to start by saying that I am a huge fan of almost everything Taylor Sheridan has to offer (Yellowstone, The Mayor of Kingstown, 1923, 1883, Tulsa King, Lioness, Sicario, He’ll or Highwater, Wind River, etc.).
This is another hit for Sheridan
He hits home run after home run, and Landman is no exception. Landman is set in modern day Texas, where everyone from billionaires to outlaws are trying to get rich in the oil industry.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a new good series to watch, especially if you are a Taylor Sheridan fan
