48/50
This series uses material from the Great Schools of Dune trilogy, by Brian Herbert and Kevin J
Narrative
Two Harkonnen sisters battle forces that threaten the future of humanity and found the legendary sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about… Anderson.

A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Rossak Brotherhood evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice comes from an episode called “Mentats of Dune.” The three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors. Okay, so I’ve been putting off watching this honestly because every trailer seemed boring.
It’s really interesting
Tonight, out of sheer desperation to find something new to watch, I caved and decided to give it a try. You know what, I’m glad I did. The acting is decent, the world is solid, and there are some very dynamic characters.
The biggest downside is the pacing so far
The first episode drags until the very end, but I’m not going to lie, the ending was good. My only concern is that this might have the same problem as the rings of power. A lot of buildup with a lack of delivery.
Only time will tell
I’ll update this once I’m able to finish the series in its entirety.
